The Bank
The bank takes its name from the sector of its founders; it was organized by the higher education institutions of Ekaterinburg.
VUZ-bank was one of the first banks to enter into VISA international payment system. And it was the first bank in Russia to start issuing Visa-Smart international cards with implanted chip module. The bank initiated the first syndicated loan in Russia.
VUZ-bank joined the Financial Group Life in 2003. And it continues its smooth development within the Group, sharing the common business standards and corporate culture accepted in the Financial Group Life.
Having successfully survived all the financial crises, today VUZ-bank has become one of the leading banks of the region. The bank’s services are really popular among all the customer types. In terms of total assets VUZ-bank today takes the 168th place among the Russian banks and it is a prominent player at the banking services market of Sverdlovsk Region and Ural Region.
VUZ-bank for the second year in a row has become number one in the Best Bank nomination, according to Bankinformservice Information Agency. It is included into the 3 Top Banks of Ekaterinburg of the rating at the portal Banki66.ru.
On February 1, 2010, RusRating confirmed the credit rating of VUZ-bank at "BB-" level with stable outlook.
